RISE UP

A safe and supportive space for youth ages 8-14 to engage in activities that connect to community and inspire action for social justice.

Rise Up is open to all youth, but will center on and prioritize Black youth. At Rise Up, youth will be offered a variety of outlets to have fun, express themselves, engage in the community, and learn about activism.

Program Dates: July 12 - September 14, 2019

Cost: FREE

Location: 5236 East B Street, Tacoma, WA 98404 (Westminster Presbyterian Church)

Schedule: Every Friday

11:30am-1pm: Black Excellence: a space for Black youth to connect and to celebrate Black history, identity, and culture. Open to Black youth only.

1-4pm: General Program: Interactive activities, exciting learning opportunities, arts, and youth-led projects dedicated to uplifting racial justice and a healthier community for all. Open to all youth.
